BabyCare to Grade 9: New School Contract and Childcare Contracts as of the 2026/27 School Year

Important Information for All Parents

Dear Parents,

With the introduction of our new school management system, ClassOwl, and the new tuition fee regulations taking effect for the 2026/27 school year, we are renewing our contracts. This ensures that our records are up to date and comply with current legal requirements – particularly with regard to data protection.

Going forward, you will receive two separate contracts: a School Contract and a Childcare Contract. This separation provides you with clear advantages.

What Do the Contracts Cover?

School Contract

The School Contract covers regular schooling as well as additional educational offerings such as our German or English Language Booster programmes.

Childcare Contract

The Childcare Contract covers supervision and care during before- and after-school hours, breaks, lunchtime, as well as during camps, excursions, and school events. Holiday care and extracurricular activities are not part of this contract and will be billed separately.

Full-day care for BabyCare and Pre-Kindergarten is regulated in the Childcare Contract.

Important: The Childcare Contract Is Mandatory

For all children from Kindergarten through Grade 9, the Childcare Contract is a mandatory part of the overall package.

Without a signed Childcare Contract, the School Contract will not become effective. Both contracts together form the contractual basis for your child's attendance at our school.

Your Benefits at a Glance

  • Tax Savings: Childcare services qualify as third-party childcare expenses and are tax-deductible. This directly reduces your taxable income.
  • Legal Certainty: The clear contractual separation ensures transparency regarding costs and services and complies with current legal requirements.
  • Updated Records: Your contract documents will be brought up to date – particularly with regard to data protection.

Tax Deductibility in Detail

Grade level Tax-deductible per child per year
BabyCare and Pre-Kindergarten (EarlyYears) Up to CHF 6'200
Kindergarten to Grade 9 (up to age 14) CHF 3'200

Please note:

  • Deductible amounts may vary in other cantons.
  • From the age of 15 onwards, childcare costs are no longer tax-deductible.
  • Whether additional costs for EarlyCare, LateCare, and Clubs can be claimed depends on cantonal regulations. Please get in touch with the relevant authority in your canton for clarification.
